This frieze talks about the relationship between 20th century Victorian and German architecture. Expressed through the dynamic compositional direction and the almost aggressive stance, this relationship is also representative of the traditional battle between school and student. Housed predominantly during university studies within these narrow and drafty student dorms, the neatly rowed Victorian facades both confront and reverently obey the solid and well aligned brick structure.
